4 hours in to a 7 hour sitting. I love it so far! Much detailing, defining, and coloring to come. I LOVE the speckling of the birds so far... and they're so sweet. They will have more definition in the end.

Yay!! I'm updating from my bed, and it's so cool! ;-) I got a new monitor... it's a 23 inch flatscreen.... and a wireless keyboard! :-) So now my tower is back in action! I'd just been using my laptop... but yay!! Movie watching from bed on a big, crisp screen is always an enjoyable thing to do on a low key night in. Happy me!! :-)

My old friends Renee and Heather came to visit! I grew up with them... the three of us were the only girls in our grade in a class size of 6-8 from kindergarten through 8th grade. It has been about 17 years since we saw each other! What an awesome experience to come back together! Heather had sushi and Thai and Indian food all for the first time, and also got her first ipod on this trip... and saw the Mall of America for the first time... and in a day and a half! Busy weekend, and we so need more time next time! :-) I loved seeing them... it was intense but good. :-) Intense because it brought up so much from childhood... and good because... well, it was them!

Excited me!! :-) Gogol Bordello is playing Minneapolis on my birthday... May 30th... and I got a ticket as a pressie!! What a fantastic way to celebrate being born!!! *happy dance*

Thanks everybody, for all the kind and supportive words you sent me about seeing my father again... and knowing he's it! :-) It was an incredible day... so many pictures and so many hugs! I'll have to post some. Thanks! You guys are awesome LJ friends. *hugs each of you*

Today I meet my father... again... it's been twenty years since I've seen him.

I got the results of our paternity test back... it's now confirmed... Dan's my father! :-) It feels amazing to know for certain. 99.996% is close enough for me. I feel... solid... like there was a part of me that was open space... and now it's solid. And the peace I feel! This is a really amazing change! In this new family, I have 42 cousins, 10 aunts and uncles, and both my grandparents are still living... and two sisters! I'm really looking forward to getting to know them. Okay, I'm excited, but I have to try and sleep... it's 5am! >< G'night, LJ!

Got the results back... 0% chance of paternity for D... now to test the other D! Wheww... these tests are getting expensive! ;-p I'm so glad to know for sure about this guy!

So tomorrow I find out the results from the paternity test I had D take. I'm not really sure how I'm feeling about finding out who my biological father is. I am hoping it's conclusive and am curious about how I will react when I finally know. If it's not... then there is one other possibility. I know I miss my dad... the one I call dad... he was fantastic... I'm so lucky to have had him for the short time I did! Wonderful man. Yeah, this is a strange mix of things.

My my my... another Sunday has come and gone. I'd love to get to a yoga class tomorrow. Where has my yoga gone?? I haven't been to a class in so long, and my body and mind are craving it. I need some TLC in a major self-given way... bubble baths, candlelight, nourishing food, music for my soul, time for friends... time to breath! I'm craving closing my eyes and finding my balance and roots with Vrksasana. Why do I fall away from the things I know are so good for me? I deserve to feel good and grounded... balanced and whole... I deserve to be consistent with them! :-)
